After being released for the first time in 2000, there were no big changes applied to Proton Waja except for some minor modifications
on its color and alloy rims. With in this six years, Proton Waja has been generated by 1.6 liter 4G18 Mitsubishi engine which
is known for its ability to save petrol in any speed.
Now, we can find the new Waja from Proton that uses CamPro engine instead of Mitsubishi engine; CamPro engine was designed
by a number of Proton engineers (Mostly Malaysians), under the technology of Lotus and this engine was first applied to Proton
GEN.2 in 2004.

According to specification data provided, Waja CamPro can accelerate until its maximum speed 190 Km/hr (manual) and 185 Km/hr
(auto). Accelerating from 0 Km/hr to 100 Km/hr, Waja CamPro only needs, for manual and auto, 10.8 seconds and 13.5 seconds,
respectively.
In addition, there are some other modifications on the car's dash board, and this make Waja CamPro slightly different
with the Waja's previous model. Since Waja CamPro is more spacious than other Proton's model, it is suitable for a driver
with a family.
